Lots of tourists visit Cambridge. - Computers are used by most schoolchildren nowadays.
Most schoolchildren use computers nowadays. - This computer is used by everyone in my class.
Everyone in my class uses this computer.

Complete the sentences. Use the passive form of the verb. Only include by if it is important. / Доповніть речення. Використовуйте пасивну форму дієслова. Включайте 'by', лише якщо це важливо.
- You need a password to enter this website.
A password is needed to enter this website. - My brother cleans Dad's car once a month.
Dad's car is cleaned once a month. ('by my brother' - неважливо) - We don't send children to prison in this country.
Children aren't sent to prison in this country. - Thieves steal ten bicycles every day in this town.
Ten bicycles are stolen every day in this town. - People play football all the year round.
Football is played all the year round. - My parents don't allow me to have a TV in my bedroom.
I am not allowed to have a TV in my bedroom.

Unit 15: Present Simple Passive (Теперішній простий пасивний стан)
Пасивний стан (Passive Voice) використовується, коли сама дія або об'єкт, над яким вона виконується, є важливішими, ніж виконавець (суб'єкт) дії.
Утворення (Formation):
Ми утворюємо Present Simple Passive за допомогою дієслова be у теперішньому часі (am / is / are) + Past Participle (3-тя форма дієслова).
- I am given... (Мені дають...)
- He/She/It is recommended... (Його/Її рекомендують...)
- You/We/They are helped... (Вам/Нам/Їм допомагають...)
Використання (Usage):
- Коли ми не знаємо, хто виконав дію.
- Ten bicycles are stolen every day. (Велосипеди крадуть. Ми не знаємо, хто саме).
- Коли неважливо, хто виконав дію (це очевидно або не має значення).
- A password is needed. (Пароль потрібен. Неважливо, хто його потребує).
- Football is played all year round. (У футбол грають. Неважливо, хто саме - "люди").
Використання 'by':
Ми додаємо by + виконавець, лише якщо важливо підкреслити, хто саме виконав дію.
- Active: My granny gives me money. (Акцент на бабусі).
- Passive: I am given money by my granny. (Акцент на мені та грошах, але ми уточнюємо, ким).
- Active: People play football.
- Passive: Football is played. (Тут 'by people' непотрібне, бо це очевидно).
